Form specific guidelines for the prevention and treatment of respiratory and/ or digestive disorders that will improve the quality of life of children with Down syndrome and their families.
Children with Down syndrome, due to their anatomical and physiological characteristics, are more susceptible to certain types of respiratory and digestive system disorders that often result in hospital stays which create complications, such as the school and family absence, increase in the intake of medicines, inability to enjoy playful activities ... in short, an enormous difficulty in being able to lead a normal life.
The Center offers myofunctional therapy and swallowing sessions, sensory integration, respiratory physiotherapy and digestive physiotherapy to prevent and treat alterations in the health of these children and babies, as well as guide and advise their families.
- Perform individual and group sessions of global stimulation, physiotherapy, speech therapy, psychotherapy, psychomotricity and social skills.
- Specific and customized treatments of respiratory and digestive physiotherapy.
- Training for the families to prevent alterations and improve the functional health of their children.
With your help children with Down Syndrome from 0 to 6 years old and their families from our Early Care Center, they can get 100 treatment grants in respiratory and digestive physiotherapy to improve their quality of life.
